Laced Committee The pictures shown on web sites and in shows can tell allot about breeders. Laced birds tend to show the lack of knowledge on how to breed these birds and many members have asked for help and thankfully the club has responded. I asked member Channing Grisham to head up this committee. Many members already know Channing and know he has put years into the club as vice president and that he also has put up special awards into the laced varieties. Anyone wanting to join this should contact Channing. We hope to have an article or picture in every issue to help us newbies to breed a proper laced bird. I truly believe that this committee will help get the laced birds back on Champion Row more consistently and give the White Crested birds a run for their money. Web Site Committee This committee’s main issue will be picture’s of the varieties shown. There has been allot of work done to separate the members web site pictures from the main page and add a disclaimer about their photo’s. This committee will get each variety’s page with the best possible photo’s available that is as close to the standard as we can get. Variety pages that are not in the standard may be replaced with drawings instead of the pictures until they are close to being good type and standard birds. This committee will delete some informational pages as well as add some. Please send your Idea’s to this committee and let’s make this web site the best it can be. Josh Hoffman has been working diligently on the site and has already made several changes. If you would like to be a part of this committee, please contact Josh or Sundy McClung and be a part of this. Youth Committee This may be my favorite committee and I’m thrilled to have two great members head up this. Newt Long and Sarah Frank will head up this committee and they will be open to suggestions from you junior members. I’m sure they would love to hear from you older members as well. I look for them to be the spokesmen for the youth and now your voices will be heard and you junior members can help make changes. Any concerns should be forwarded to Newt and Sarah. They have already hit the ground running and added articles to the newsletter. Pamphlet Committee The club needs a club pamphlet to hand out at shows to get our name out there. Josh Hoffman and Sundy McClung are both actively working on this and ideas are more than welcome to help us construct the best one we can. This team already is getting some preliminary ideas and its very exciting to see it come together. Contact them if interested. Black Crested Committee Here’s a committee that I hope grows by leaps and bounds. The Black Crested varieties have all but vanished and I hope this committee will help organize the members into bringing them back. I hope that the Black Crested Whites will benefit from this greatly. We need someone to head this up, contact me if interested. Blue committee This committee will focus on the blue varieties. This will include the self blues and the White Crested Blues. This can expand to other breeds like the Sultans and Crevecouers if it deals with the color blue. There are many that have no idea how to breed a good blue and the club is ready to change this. Are you interested in leading the way for this? Contact me ASAP. HSC Committee Yet another committee that will forge the way for potentially great growth for the club. This club is for the Houdan/Sultan/Crevecouers. We voted these breeds into the club years ago and then left them by the way side. So let’s pick up the ball and run with it and get these breeds better organised and bred better. WE can’t let these breeds slip through our fingers. Join this one today, contact me if you want to help. So these are the committee’s we have started and we officers are committed to them and to you the members. I encourage all members to join one, two or all!! We are all in this for the birds and to preserve the breed. Expect to hear lots more from these committee’s for years to come. I personally will be in direct contact for those running each committee and am excited for the results. GO POLISH!

I am just trying to see where I could be of help....I am always pretty active in the associations I belong to. I have the usual years of service to the local club holding various offices etc and to the surrounding area fairboards. Lots of PR work, I like working with people. Here is a link to our last Fair display that my son and I put on for our club and fairboard. http://s225.photobucket.com/albums/dd16/Blackstar_3/Agrifair%202009/?albumview=slideshow
I like desk top publishing (Breeders Directories, newsletters and handouts) and working with websites I can do most things.. I am already a Director for the Canadian Purebred Poultry Association but thats stays pretty qiet till their is an AI outbreak . I've spent a lot of time on government liason committees for them I like your proposed map has a Canadian district so I sure hope that goes through and that I can help there...... Any suggestions how I might be of service?

Last night Josh and I talked via Yahoo messenger. That worked out great to communicate with out having to send a dz back and forth emails. We got done everything we needed to discuss in just 30 min compared to a couple of days using email. I just wanted to let you all know how easy that was for us. It may benefit other committees. If you would like to get a hold of me by instant messenger you can by using weluvall3@yahoo.com for my name on yahoo messenger. I no not use that email so don't send me an email on that address. My email I use is crestedhorizon@gmail.com
