I have a hen with a single spur on one leg. is that okay?? | |

while to my knowledge spurred hens are not a disqualification, the spurs do detract from having an overall feminine look to the hen. My WC Cuckoo hens often get spurs, as the hen they trace back to had a nice set of fully curved spurs by three years of age. You can of course dremel tool them to cut them short so they do not curve up into the back of the bird's legs. | |

My line of White Crested Black large had many hens with spurs but no other variety had them.
