Does someone have the APA criteria (and ABA for that matter) for Judging Frizzles? In my edition of the SOP(2001) it states Frizzles may be shown in any breed but while there is a separate breed listing for Frizzles in SCCL and in FL there isn't one listed in AOCCL? I have had them placed in the AOCCL row and in the FL row Confusing........

I was resisting posting in case one of the more experienced exhibitors wanted to answer. Frizzles are to be shown with their breed and variety. When you enter them, you enter, for example, non-bearded white-crested blue frizzle. Frizzles should compete equally for BB. I have had several frizzles on Champion Row, as have other breeders. They should NOT be shunted off and caged over with the frizzle cochins as some sort of freaks. If your shows and fairs are still doing this, educate them. The ABA has an official position on this very thing, don't know about the APA.

Thanks Cindy I appreciate the answer . Seems like there aren't too many more experienced showman hanging about here LOL Probably all busy with their birds. I did speak up at the show that that put my AOCCL frizzle in the featherleg row but the judge sided with show LOL He was an older fellow.
It would be nice to have the ruling to quote. But perhaps the situation won't arise again. Perhaps it will be in the next SOP?

It's in one of the recent ABA Yearbooks- I'm thinking perhaps 2 years ago. I'll look for it when I have time.
