these are the predators I have mink coon bold eagle terky valcher and chicken hawk. I have concord them all but when ever the flying type fly by thy stop laying, all my polish have not bin laying for a mouth, heck I had a bald eagle fly by my window the other day. thank you | |

should I cover the top of the pen so the hens can not see the predator | |

Jon, I keep my outside runs covered with wire only so the hawks are not able to get a free lunch. My Polish are not able to see them with their crests and am surprised yours would. I have never heard of this kind of activity stopping laying before. I could be due to the weather, my bantams have stopped laying.

thank you but I thought so to but mine have stopped malting already. I put mesh over mine to heck I put my golden lace to gether with the kock and she laid two eggs and that was it. I even got a knew addition. I put a lakenvelder hen with my wight crested black and the same thing. she came from a different farm even. I'm trying to redo Connie Gillegens way of the black crested wight, for the nollege. | |
