POLISH BREEDERS CLUB CONSTITUTION
Article 1 - Name
The name of this organization shall be Polish Breeders Club.
Article 2 - Object
The objects of this organization shall be:
(A) To promote the breeding and improvement of Polish Fowl.
(B) To keep Polish Fowl up to the standards set by the American Poultry Association and the American Bantam Association.
(C) To encourage the breeding of Polish Fowl through the various poultry clubs, shows, and among the younger generation.
Article 3 - Membership
Membership shall be open to any desirable person interested in breeding, exhibiting and furtherance of Polish Fowl, upon payment of the required membership dues.
Article 4 - Officers
The officers of the Club shall be: President, Vice President, Secretary/Treasurer and 3 District Directors
Article 5 - Districts
There shall be 3 districts as follows:
District 1 - Western
Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Nevada, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Hawaii and Alaska
District 2 - Central
North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Wisconsin and Illinois
District 3 - Eastern
Michigan, Indiana, Kentuck, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, Pennsilvania, Maryland, Delaware, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Jersey, Vermont, New Hampsire, Maine.
Article 6 - Meetings
A meeting of the club may be called by any of the officers, or by a written request signed by ten (10) percent of the members. Whenever a meeting is called, each member must receive a notice by First Class Mail stating the place, time and reason for the meeting. Such notice must be mailed thirty days before the meeting.
Article 7 - Amendments
This Constitution may be amended by a two-thirds mail vote of the members. Any proposed change must be submitted in writing to the membership thirty (30) days before the ballot is due.
POLISH BREEDERS CLUB BY-LAWS
ARTICLE 1 - ELECTIONS
No persons name may be placed on the ballot without permission of that person. The officers of the club shall be elected by mail vote in November. A majority vote shall constitute an election. Officers will be elected for a two (2) year term. Terms shall start in January after the election.
ARTICLE 2 - DUES
The club officers shall establish the annual dues of the Club. Annual memebership fee shall be due in the month the membership was establilshed. If not paid by the first day of the following month, the secretary shall send written notice that the name is being stricken from the memebership roll.
ARTICLE 3 - CLUB OFFICERS
The club officers shall consist of the President, Vice President, Secretary/Treasurer, and 3 District Directors. It shall be the responsibility of the Club Officers to carry on the business of the Club.
ARTICLE 4 - CLUB YEAR
The Club year shall be from January 1 to December 31.
ARTICLE 5 - DUTIES OF THE OFFICERS
Section A - The President shall have in mind at all times the best interest of the Club. He may call special meetings with the approval of the Club Officers. He shall appoint all necessary committees.
Section B - The Vice President is to aid in the development and success of the Club. The Vice President shall conduct meetings for the club in the absence of the President.
Section C - The Secretary/Treasurer shall keep all records of the Club and act as a correspondent in matters pertaining to the Club. He shall receive and take care of all money belonging to the Club and shall keep an accurate record of all receipts and expenditures in permanent form. All Club funds shall be kept in a bank selected by the Treasurer, and all disbursements shall be made by bank check.
ARTICLE 6 - COMMITTEES
Committies may be appointed by the President
ARTICLE 7 - MEETS
The Club shall sponsor 3 types of meets. Each district shall have one (1) district meet per year. There may be an unlimited number of Special Meets. There may be one (1) National Meet annually, the location to be voted on by the members.
ARTICLE 8 - AMENDING BY-LAWS
The By-Laws may be amended by a majority mail vote of the members. Any proposed amendment must be presented to the membership in writing thirty (30) days prior to being voted upon.
