White Crested Khaki Polish

Accepted Description

Color of Male

Front of Neck, Breast, Lower Body and Fluff:  All a  light "grayish blue" tan.

Undercolor:  Light, almost white.

Hackle, Back, Saddle, Lesser Sickles:  Dark khaki with a neutral sheen.

Tail:  Main Sickles: A dark Khaki from base to tip.  Main tail feathers: dark khaki base with slightly lightened ends.

Wings: A rich chocolate patch covering the bow, coverts a dark khaki, primary and secondary flights a dark khaki base with slightly lightened outer ends.

Faults:  Complete absence of the chocolate wing patch.  Primary or secondary flights too light.  Body too dark.

Accepted Description

Color of Female

Entire:  A light "grayish blue" tan throughout.  All parts to be an even shade with light undercolor, almost white.

Faults:  Any deviation of shade from one part to the next.  Chocolate splashes.  Overall color too dark.

Both Sexes:  

Beak:  Horn color with light tip.

Legs and Feet:  Slate, toenails light.

Crest:  White with a small cluster of colored feathers in the front.  These colored feathers to be a dark khaki on the male, and a lighter khaki on female.
